More To Say :: All Liquid / Juicing Cycle [AL/JC]
Will I get hungry?
Hunger will dominate, at times, during a multi-meal or multi-day AL/JC, especially when the body and/or mind is sedentary. Hunger usually doesn't last too long, but, if it does, handle hunger however feels best, whether that means more juice or veering away from the AL/JC with a smoothie, popcorn, or a food of your choice. DetoxifyU never recommends punishing oneself in any cycle.
Will I feel tired if I do not eat solid food?
Physical fatigue may be felt. In a multi-day AL/JC, as toxins are filtered and removed, periodic fatigue is normal. However, if the AL/JC is continued (and solid foods are not ingested), the body's energy should soon return, and, often, even increase.
I don't have the time to juice fruits and vegetables.
Several bottles of Cranberry Water can be mixed in about ten minutes. Teas are quick and easy. Water, of course, is always more than acceptable. There are some store-bought juices that are free of processed sugars, additives, and preservatives. Bolthouse Farms 100% Carrot Juice (available at most CostCos and many grocery stores) is an example.
No Shame.
No self-shaming if a juicing goal is not met. Remember: Replacing just one meal with all liquid helps the body detoxify.
The solids that keep coming.
Do not be surprised if a couple days into an AL/JC, you are still eliminating solid matter. Colons are reknowned for clinging to that which should have passed on thru; the AL/JC helps empty the colon of old fecal matter.
